About INFICON AB
Center of Excellence for Hydrogen tracer gas Leak Detection
INFICON AB operates as a subsidiary of INFICON Holding AG. The company has two missions:
- Center of Excellence for Hydrogen tracer gas leak detection. This includes R&D, manufacturing, service and support on sensor technologies and hydrogen leak detection instruments. The company’s unique technology is based on the Hydrogen Tracer Gas Method which was developed and introduced on the market by Sensistor.
- Distributor of the INFICON range of leak detectors in Scandinavia
A highly skilled team of development and application engineers with a solid base of application know-how are currently bringing this new technology to the next step. We have access to world-wide expertise in all aspects of leak detection and a global sales force of well trained sales engineers capable of guiding customers to the best solution for each leak testing problem.
INFICON AB is based in the high-tech oriented city of Linköping (Sweden) accommodating industries such as SAAB aviation industries and many successful IT related SMEs originating from Linköping Institute of Technology.
An interesting new market opportunity is the advent of fuel cells and Hydrogen cars. Sensistor, today INFICON AB, has rapidly established itself as a well renowned supplier of high performance Hydrogen leak detectors for this emerging industry. Leak tightness is a critical safety factor in any Hydrogen fuelled system and developers are increasingly addressing this issue. As the Hydrogen technology moves into production within a foreseeable future the need of hydrogen leak detectors will increase substantially. INFICON is well prepared itself to meet also these demands.
After being acquired by INFICON we have access to the world market and the capability to offer customers a solution for large leaks as well as small leaks and in all sorts of environments.
